Former Cowboys fullback Daryl “Moose” Johnston, who now serves as a game analyst for FOX, doesn’t have a problem with the team’s decision to acquire cornerback Pacman Jones.
But Moose cautioned that the Cowboys need to be ready to get Jones under control, if he acts up while a member of the team. In so doing, Johnston took a backhanded slap at former Cowboys receiver Michael Irvin.
“With Michael Irvin,” Johnston told the Dallas Morning News, “I think we all tend to think we didn’t step in soon enough. We waited until it impacted all of us as a team. We should have seen the potential for that type of behavior to impact the team in a negative way before it became that.”
Johnston recognizes that Jones is a bigger risk for the team than defensive tackle Tank Johnson, who was signed last year by the ‘Boys after being cut by the Bears following a series of arrests.
“You can have the best intentions from ownership to coaching staff,” Johnston said. “But if your players aren’t policed in the locker room, then you have potential for something bad to happen.”

I hope TO and Tank Johnson can police him…what a trio. If they get Chris Henry they’ll have the all-turd team.

My guess is Moose ruffled a lot of feathers at Valley Ranch with his strong opposition to the boys bring in Tank. Given that the Cowboys are the Fox network’s #1 Sports draw, I have a feeling this is an attempt to kiss and make well.

A hypothetical question for the attorneys in the audience:
Let’s say Pacman comes to town, causes a disturbance in lets say, a strip club. Somebody gets shot and killed or paralyzed.
Is there any basis for suing Jerry Jones and the Cowboys by the victim or his or her family for bringing him into the community?
I am guessing the answer is “no” or they wouldn’t assume the risk, but was just curious.

Hayyabbott,
I am an Eagles fan. What would Philly want with Stank Johnson and the Rainman anyway? We have youth and some experience at DT and we have 3 Pro Bowl level corners (for now). You had TO and Stank last year and it STILL didn’t help you win a playoff game. You haven’t won a playoff game since the Cold War.
Don’t tell Eagles fans that we would love to have that trio because you are sadly mistaken. We will kindly win our division without those problems.

You guys are morons. The cowboys are obviously better than the eagles. I realize that Tank didn’t do much but I know that TO was a leading factor in their offenses success. Pacman would be a pretty good addition and seeing how he’s new to Dallas he won’t get into trouble for a least 3 years.

The Cowboys have a support system in Dallas for dealing with troubled players. The Eagles have a head coach that can’t even handle what goes on under his own roof.

x5uperFIVEx do you think the Eagles got 5 games better than the 8-8 stinker they turned in last season? I don’t. Eagles will be 3rd in the division, at very best.
Of course the Eagles and Eagle fans don’t want TO. TO’s like oil and McNabb’s like… pink chiffon. And everybody knows that oil and pink chiffon don’t mix.

Don’t forget that the Eagles have won many division titles and many playoff games in the last decade, while the Cowboys haven’t done ANYTHING in the postseason with their talent.
The Eagles win 11 games this year, mark it down…and that will be enough to beat out the Cowboys’ 10 wins.
Keep chirping Cowgirls, but just remember the last time you won a postseason football game was when DMac was still at Syracuse.

The boys will get pacman and Chris Henry. Mark that down.
They are that desperate to win.
Remember, it HAS been over 4000 days since they won a playoff game.

Don’t forget Ken Hamlin when mentioning the Dallas Turd Collectors. He had a great turd rep coming out of college and managed to get his skull cracked open outside a bar the year the Seahawks went to the Super Bowl.

“Don’t forget that the Eagles have won many division titles and many playoff games in the last decade…”
Blah blah blah convenient window blah blah. Don’t forget that the Eagles were the worst team in the division last year and have addressed NONE of their weaknesses this off-season.

If being a victim makes a player a turd then Donovan McNabb is the biggest shitloaf in NFL history.

As a Bengal fan, I heard the same thing. The other players were going to help Henry stay out of trouble. But unless these guys are going to move in with him 24-7 then it’s not going to happen. And if Pacman and Henry (college friends from WV, where all the trouble started) get on the same team, I’m would bet we’ll see both of them getting arrested sooner rather than later.
