I know it is hard for a fan to understand when an athlete as good as Farve with gas left in the tank calls it quits. Barry Sanders is another that comes to mind. Farve and Sanders are two players that I really loved to watch and became huge fans of even though they were not on my team. They were hard not to root for. I could see brett hanging those shoes up if he was on a bad team or his skill have fallen apart.
