Tony Dungy told the Indianapolis Star that he expects Marvin Harrison when the Colts begin their minicamp today.
That expectation doesn’t appear to be based on a conversation with Harrison, “I’m assuming he will,” was the extent of his comment, and the team said they won’t be making any statements about who does or doesn’t take part in the three-day affair.
If the ongoing investigation into the shooting outside the bar he owns in Philadelphia wasn’t enough to keep him occupied during camp, he’s also been rehabbing injuries to both knees. The combination of the two and Harrison’s tenured status with the team could probably get him a pass without incurring fines.
If Harrison does show up, I wouldn’t expect him to do much more than swap pleasantries with his teammates and then do whatever therapy he’s been doing for his knees.

If he shows up, the team would be smart to frisk him before they let him in.

Thanks Josh. If this was written by Florio, there would certainly be some snide remark or cheap shot thrown in there. Welcome to the team. Although, if you don’t include such comments, your tenure at PFT might be short.

Has he had his mug shot taken yet? Are the metal detectors working at the training facility? Will Peyton & the rest of the staff be wearing kevlar? Has the commissioner decided anything?

Hey, TheMatic, do you mean something like this?
“If Harrison attends, G.M. Bill Polian is expected to explain to him that guns should never be used to resolve disputes, and that throwing the other guy against a wall is just as effective.”

Advice for the rookies. Don’t look directly into Marvin eyes.

I hope Peyton Manning forgoes the “shotgun” snap today in practice.

I still can’t believe this story. These have been a strange few years in sports recently.

Waterboy, Kevlar will not help him… His bullets were armor piercing bullets…
He will def be in camp… While rehabbing his knees he has redesigned a football offense… It use to be called the Run & Shoot… He has redesigned it and it now it is a “fool proof” offense that will be sure to penetrate any D like his bullets can penetrate someone’s level 3 tefelon… It is called the Shoot & Run…He guarantees as long as the ball is in his hands, NO ONE will catch him…
LMAO!!!!
