Pats got what they deserved by losing the SB. As a matter of fact, I would not doubt that there was a deal made to NOT win on purpose, to minimize the damage to the NFL brand. Think about it - this actually keeps the Pats in the news, and strenghtens their fan base, and builds a greater rivalry between them and others. Will make for interesting games next year…. More $ for the NFL Owners.

Charlie Weiss as offensive coordinator benefited the most from this action. You would have to think that he was at least involved in putting this practice into place. It gave him an advantage calling plays, and may have helped him achieve a greater rate of success. His success allowed him to get a high profile college coaching job at a school that fired someone for lying on a resume about a detail that really had no bearing on their qualifications as a football coach. Weiss's actions at New England relate directly to his perceived qualifications as a football coach. Maybe we are seeing how qualified Weiss is for this position, now that he is getting his own players into the system. Maybe Notre Dame should take a stand against someone who has truly provided a fraudulant football resume to his head coaching interview. Clearly their is no such thing as an unbias opinion in this whole mess. Lets all remember a couple of things the Patriots video taped coaches signals from a prohibited location in the stadium. Stealing, deciphering or vieiwing the opponent's signals in the NFL per the Commissioner is not aginst the rules in the NFL or baseball as far as I can tell. But it sure is fun to make Gamesmanship out to be cheating. Can we at least wait tll the interview has been aired before everyone expresses their opinions.
