Do we know why he did it. If Hardy was arrested for domestic battery, which is something that is usually a learned trait (thanks sociology of the family!), how do we know that the argument they were having didn't stem from something that his father was saying or doing to his mother, and, hence, he pulled the gun. While the man is his biological father, if they did not have a relationship growing up, then they basically are like strangers. I'm just speculating like Florio. Hardy pulled a gun on his father. Please remember that several pro athletes aren't from the types of family backgrounds that most reporters or agents are blessed with and that when you mix in the fortune and fame...it could lead to explosive situations.
