The Chicago Bears have done little to address the receiver position and even less to address the mess at quarterback.

But, hey, they have a kicker.  They definitely have a kicker.

The Bears announced on Monday that Robbie Gould have been signed to a five-year extension, putting him under contract through 2013.  Not bad for a guy who entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2005.

And so the Bears have the kicking position under control for years into the future.

Of course, they thought the same thing earlier this decade with Paul Edinger, until the guy with the matador stance started kicking like a bull’s horn was buried in his butt.
