The run defense was still as stout as ever allowing 2.8 ypc. Still #6 D overall thanks to Ray picking off or swatting more passes than any MB should. 2006 Ray was the leading tackler on the best defense in the NFL since 2000. He is still the best middle linebacker in the NFL, and Urlacher still is not better than him. The Ravens will not let him hit the open market. They should have the franchise tag option available by then, and if not they will pony up an offer he don't refuse. His play has not slipped at all.
