As if the news of a shooting with his gun last week, an alleged choking with his hands in 2005, and another palms-on-someone-else’s-neck incident in 2003 weren’t enough to justify a conclusion that Colts receiver Marvin Harrison might not be the nice, quiet guy that his on-field demeanor suggests, A.J. Daulerio of Deadspin hints that we might learn a lot more about Harrison, soon.
“According to one prominent national television reporter,” Daulerio writes, “if Harrison gets charged in this case, all of the dirty laundry that many people have been sifting through will be revealed.”
Daulerio also thinks that Wednesday’s conclusions-without-facts rant from WIP’s Howard Eskin could prove to be on the money. “[A]s much as Eskin is a blustery asshole on air at times,” Daulerio writes, “he’s also not reckless and does his due diligence when it comes to stories of this nature. Also, what Eskin said is consistent with some of the stories being corroborated by a few people close to the investigation.”
Maybe what Daulerio meant to say is that Eskin isn’t reckless anymore. (Getting sued and suspended will do a lot to teach a guy not to make unsubstantiated accusations.)

It’s always the quiet guys who are the scariest.

Beyond how Harrison behaves on the field what else has happened in the past to create the ‘nice guy’ image?
As a fan of the NFL I have never heard much about the guy beyond he is one to do his job and keep his mouth shut. If that is the only reason you believe he is some nice guy I would venture to guess you are a naive person. I’m not saying we should think the worst of individuals unless proven otherwise but just because someone is quiet and they have caught a lot of footballs that does not make them a ‘nice guy’ that just makes them a good football player.

The Five-seveN pistol was designed by FN company (Belgium) as a complimentary sidearm for the P90 submachine-gun. The P90 and Five-seveN share the same ammunition, the 5.7×28mm SS190 cartridge. The SS190 ammunition looks like scaled down 5.56mm NATO round and boosts the 2.02 gramm (31 grains) pointed steel and alluminium core bullet to the muzzle velocity of 650 meters per second (ca. 2130 fps) from the pistol barrel. The key idea behind that ammunition and weapons is to provide good penetration against personnel, protected by modern body armour, while keeping weapons’ weight, dimensions and recoil at the reasonable levels.
The Five-seveN is a delayed blowback operated, semi-automatic firearm. It featured polymer frame with underbarrel acessory rail. The gun is available in two versions: Five-seveN standard, intended mostly for military users, and Five-seveN Tactical, intended mostly for Law Enforcement users who carry handguns as a primary weapons. The only difference between Standart and Tactical models is in the trigger type: the Five-seveN standard features Double Action Only trigger with long trigger pull and no external safeties; The Five-seveN Tactical featured Single Action trigger with short and light trigger pull and ambidextrous safety switch, located on the frame above the trigger. Both variants are striker fired, with internal firing pin safety. The sights are fixed, with optional night sights (with luminous dots inserts) available.
The Five-seveN is advertised as being capable to penetrate standart PAGST vest at 300 meters and standart CRISAT (kevlar + titanium) vest at 100 meters.
The Five-seveN is available from FN for government or law enforcement sales only.
