Former NFL player Rabih Abdullah was arrested late Wednesday for driving with a suspended license, the television station WFST is reporting, making it the fourth time in two years Abdullah has been arrested in Hillsborough County, Florida.
According to WFST, Abdullah has a lengthy rap sheet. In 2006, he was charged with DUI, possession of marijuana and carrying a concealed firearm. In a separate incident in 2006 he was charged with reckless driving. In 2007 he was arrested for trespassing and obstructing a police officer.
There is no information about the outcome of any of those cases.
Abdullah is best known for playing the first three years of his NFL career in Tampa Bay, which is in Hillsborough County. He also played two seasons for the Bears and one for the Patriots.

It happens to many people who don’t use their head and have common sense… You don’t do this type of behavior in Hillsborough County… I once was roller blading down Dale Mabry near the old sombrero wearing a t-shirt and the old Buc’s orange football pants while drinking a beer… Guess what happened? I was pulled over by the Hillsborough County Police and they wanted to ARREST Me for ‘Drinking and Driving’ by using roller blades on a state road… I impressed the police with the usage of common sense by thanking them for doing an admirable job in their law enforcement responsibilities. They agreed to let me drive home if I poured out the ice cold beer which I had just bought and opened… I am proud of the job that the law enforcement officials do each and every day in Tampa and throughout Hillsborough County!

Let me get a misconception straight…..Tampa Bay is NOT in Hillsborough County. Tampa is. Tampa Bay is the area. It consists of Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Manatee, Polk (unfortunately), and Hernando (probably more counties too).
