As the investigation regarding the shooting in Philadelphia with a gun owned by Colts receiver Marvin Harrison continues, police say that Harrison isn’t a suspect.
But look carefully at the statement from police spokeswoman Tanya Little, via the Indianapolis Star: “He’s not a suspect at this point.”
The words “at this point” imply that he could be a suspect in the future. And unless it can be proven that the gun was fired by a dog, a ghost, a unicycle, or some other non-human object or thing, someone will eventually be a suspect in the case.
Some Internet hack has written an item breaking the entire situation down from a legal perspective for SportingNews.com. Our sources tell us that the article could be posted as soon as today.

One more thing, how many people were quick to jump on the Duke Lacrosse players when they were charged for rape? What happened in that case? Aside from the shady prosecutor, after all of the facts came out, they were exonerated and a lot of people were eating their Nikes, while reporters were issuing apologies. I can’t say it enough, wait for the details to come out. This was inspired by the article I just read on ESPN about the whole Baylor scandal five years ago where the coach tried to label his recently murdered player as a drug dealer in order to cover up the fact that he had given the dead player money for his tuition. He would have been successful if not for the actions of the assistant coach who recorded some of the conversations that he had with the coach, Dave Bliss, which were then put out in the news. Think of how we would have perceived that kid’s death had all of the details not come out and Bliss succeeded in his subversion. Here’s the link to that story (good read): http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/columns/story?columnist=oneil_dana&id=3371852

In a seperate case, the philly police are hunting down a suspect who murdered a police officer a few days ago. Do you really think they give a rats ass about a suspect in a bar shooting in North Philly? Hell, it happens almost daily. He’s not a suspect at this point cause they don’t really care right now..

EskinSux - the Philly police have caught the cop-killer (as you may know by now). Let the waiting-game resume.
