With Jason Garrett already serving as the offensive coordinator/head-coach-in-waiting with the Dallas Cowboys, his brother Judd will be joining the organization as well.

Judd Garrett, a former NFL assistant coach, has been hired into the team’s scouting department, as the assistant director of pro scouting.

Garrett spent five years as an assistant coach with the Dolphins and two seasons on Scott Linehan’s staff in St. Louis, as tight ends coach.  Prior to that, Garrett worked with the Saints for three years, during the Mike Ditka regime.  Earlier this year, Garrett was given a paid leave of absence for the final year of his contract with the Rams, due to the death of his wife in 2007.

Presumably, his income from the Rams will be offset by his earnings with the Cowboys.
