Former Bengals receiver Chris Henry is drawing the interest of a yet-unnamed NFL team.
Henry’s lawyer made that claim on Tuesday in order to obtain for Henry permission to travel out of the area for the purposes of visiting with said team. Henry is on house arrest in the wake of a recent assault charge, and the judge assigned to the case previously had denied a request that Henry be allowed to leave the area in the hopes of landing a new football gig.
“We’re willing to give him some latitude given the fact that he obviously needs to find some employment,” Judge Richard Bernat said.
Henry must produce a letter from an NFL team in order to utilize the permission to shed his digital jewelry and leave town.
So what team is interested in Henry? PFT Planet, drop your thoughts in the comments section. (As if you need an invitation to do so.)

I’m going to go with Oakland and why not…..the New Orleans Saints.
Or possibly the Semi-pro team of the Bevan Rump Wranglers.

Everyone is all for the Cowboys. Which I understand since they’d like a 3rd/4th receiver behind Crayton is Glenn can play.
But I only saw one other person say:
The Titans.
Why not? They gamble on players sometimes. They kept Pacman far too long in my opinion and even after Young scored extremely low on the Wonderlic they still drafted a guy who tested as: “Somewhat Mentally Retarded.”
I can also see:
The Ravens.
I can’t remember the last time they had a good receiver. Alright, I can, but seriously, this team could use someone to help them out. They could use someone to stretch the field if Unibrow is going to start. They don’t have a lot of cap room, but Henry isn’t in any place to negotiate a long term mega-millions contract.
I could see Davis biting on Henry, but he seems like he’s content with big name players - not big name criminals. He hasn’t taken a criminal yet this year and given them a shot. He got Javon Walker as a big signing and took D-Mac. D-Mac has a lot of controversy around him, but he hasn’t done anything close to Henry-caliber - yet. Sure he has a couple bastard children and gets into fights, but teams will look past that. If every team turned its back on players with bastard children and bar fights we would have never saw: Magic Johnson, Dennis Rodman, Kobe Bryant (underage sex scandel), etc.

It’s true, Dallas doesn’t get turd points. Because in Texas they would sooner send their own mommas to jail then put a Football player behind bars. From High School to the NFL you are protected for life. So maybe this is a perfect fit for that good ole’ boy Chris Henry.

I think the Saints would be interested. It is his hometown, and they need another experienced receiver. Perhaps he could straighten out under the guidance of David Patten.

Tampa Bay……
They are in desperate need of a WR and they have already proven that conduct off and on the field is not an issue to them.
If it is Dallas, they will go 13-3 this year. Thats thirteen arrest and three convictions.

To all you people who have said that Henry should go to the Cowboys, are you guys just jealous that the Boys have a great program and really do work with troubled individuals…maybe you should check your teams rosters and run rap sheets on the players because the rest of the NFL are not saints..All you ever hear is the cowboys this or the cowboys that, give it a rest people…facts are facts the Cowboys do have people and programs in place to help players and if they fail they are done, plain and simple..Don’t hear anyone complaining or talking about the Patroits move to bring in Moss and we all no he is no choir boy

I think the best bet is probably the Cowboys.
They are poised to make a very serious SB run and only having TO, Patrick Crayton, and an injury riddled Terry Glenn is probably not Jerry Jone’s idea of a great WR corp.
This still is quite obnoxious. The fact that guys like this even get second chances after getting themselves involved in multiple situations. I just think it is disgusting. It is an insult to the fans and a smudge on the NFL.

As long as you don’t go killing nobody or get publicly debacled in your strength, you can wear the star.
“Is he in jail right now?” JJ. They have enough judges and govenors and presidents in Jerry’s pockets to buy any convict a pardon.
Bungle Mob mentality had to be a contributing factor. He was aready wearing prison colors everyday and the whole team is under constant survaliance by the Cincy organized crime task force or something.

I don’t think it’s Oakland, they just drafted 2 WR’s and signed J. Walker and Drew Carter.
KC, 49ers, and Phily are the ones who need WR’s.
And Dallas, just because they seem to be interested in every ganster.

I am going to say the Cowboys. And why not Jerry Jones will never get in trouble from the NFL if he continues to screw up.
Heck could be anyteam. Until the NFL starts coming down on the teams that take these guys why not take a chance on a very good WR, just protect yourself in the contract
