Former Bengals receiver Chris Henry is drawing the interest of a yet-unnamed NFL team.
Henry’s lawyer made that claim on Tuesday in order to obtain for Henry permission to travel out of the area for the purposes of visiting with said team. Henry is on house arrest in the wake of a recent assault charge, and the judge assigned to the case previously had denied a request that Henry be allowed to leave the area in the hopes of landing a new football gig.
“We’re willing to give him some latitude given the fact that he obviously needs to find some employment,” Judge Richard Bernat said.
Henry must produce a letter from an NFL team in order to utilize the permission to shed his digital jewelry and leave town.

Henry would be the best receiver on the Eagles, so let’s just throw it out there! Why not, we’ve been linked to every other receiver!

The judge states to allow him to travel to seek employment. What a crock. If he could demonstrate that he could go anywhere (even outside his house on his own street) without assaulting someone, then he should be allowed. Then and only then. What a moron. Who wears there own jersey when getting when assaulting someone. I wonder what his wonderlic score was.

Maybe Micheal Vick is recruiting him for The Mean Machine.Other than that what NFL team in it’s right mind would waste 1 minute of their time on a major-league turd that will most likely never be allowed back in the league…..?

My first guess would be the Raiders. Even though he’s not coming off of a major knee injury (like all the other Raider signees), Al is probably interested.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say Kansas City. Besides Dwayne Bowe they have no receivers and he fits the youth movement there.

Not sure which team may be showing interest, but the Eagles would be the best fit since they have a holding cell at the stadium.

For some reason I believe Jon Gruden and Bruce Allen of the Bucs might be likely suspects. They desperately need some playmakers at WR, and rookie Dexter Jackson has already had some issues in rookie camp. Gruden and Allen have a track record of bringing in players with questionable backgrounds.
