This is based on one undisclosed source and hasn't been confirmed by the team or the player. I won't call anyone a hack, but this could easily blow over or never have been to begin with. It seems like rabble-rousing. I was taught that you start a story with a single source, not publish it. Especially not a single undisclosed source, a foundation so flimsy the phrase "the foolish man who built his house on sand" implies too much substance. True or not, I'm very surprised the Trib would publish something so sketchy.

A potential Bobby Engram holdout? This "players wanting new contracts" situation has officially gotten out of hand. He finally breaks 1,000 yards after 13 years and he thinks he's Chad Johnson now?

And sometimes a cigar is just a cigar..
Engram has few reasons to be unhappy. During his lengthy issues with his thyroid disorder Seattle stood by him, and among other things, continued to pay him.
They gave him a deal, when he was discarded by the Bears, and
they have continued to work with him in a fair and forthright manner.
If he is not there for "personal reasons" then just maybe that is
exactly what it is, no matter how badly "some internet hack" might
be looking to generate some sort of news buzz during an otherwise dead time of the season.

While this is a very valid point, I don't see what else you could do..get rid of all agencies and make agents independent, rank players according to value (A - D) and limit the amount of each client you may have at a given postition? 1 A level player at each position, 2 Bs, and so on??

Hahaha. If Engram even holds out for a new contract I'll laugh. He's been a solid go to guy for them, but the only real memory of him that I have is a single catch that he had in the playoffs.
