Good for Rivers — Cincy needs to bite the bullet and purge the bad stuff. Cut the criminals like Henry, and axe the chokers like Palmer.
It’ll all be good!

Yeah, another ‘cowboys fan’ is abandoning the team because they don’t like the malcontent they acquired. Same talk arose when TO joined. I think he’s worked out pretty well. Look, its all reward and no risk. No one will stick up for this guy if he screws up again, but if he’s turned the corner as TO did, why shouldn’t he be returning punts and INTs for TDs for Dallas?

Re the Chargers’ center situation…if I’m worried about the health of my starting center, Jeremy Newberry may not be the best way to relieve those worries. The guy has an injury list almost as long as Pacman’s list of transgressions.

I believe Reed’s wife was the person who donated the kidney to their child. I can only imagine that makes the situation that much more dramatic. Reed has worked very hard to get where he is and I hope he gets to keep his starting job this season.

Correction: Former Vikings longsnapper. Current one is Cullen Loefllen, who is a girly man. Nah I’m just kidding, I’m sure he likes weights too.

Good. We don’t need any fair weather fans. So this guy cheers for Irvin, Newton, Henderson, etc; but now he can’t cheer for Pacman? I love those guys but I admit they’ve been in enough trouble. I’m glad he’s not cheering for the Cowboys anymore. Go cheer for the Redskins. No true fan of a team can just turn their back on a team.

True. I am all for voting with your money…you don’t like the direction the team goes, stop going to the games, stop buying jerseys and memorabilia, but to say you won’t cheer? Who cares? That just makes you look like a jackass and then an even bigger one when you finally do come crawling back to the legion of fans.

Are you sure that’s not Emmitt Smith talking?

So you Cowboy fans that want to cheer for Pacman tell me this. If you saw him walking into a strip club would you hang around or run the other way as fast as you could?

Did McKelvin realize he plays in the same division as a guy named Moss and an guy named Brady? Or “compete” as in “less than six TDs this season”?

@gibsonplyer
Are you serious? Is that the standard you apply to athletes and the teams you support? I wouldn’t want to hang out with many in professional sports, but that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate what they do on the field.
Look, its a business, and they are entertainers. Nobody cares about the quality of the athlete as a person. If any organization claims to, its not because they are invested in developing quality citizens, its so they have less work to do in keeping their employees out of trouble and on the field.
People who wave this morality stick when its convenient or applies to a team they like to dislike amuse me. Like Dale Hansen thinking anyone believes he has an ounce of credibility in criticizing an organization that put him out on his butt. Yeah, thats not transparent.

I agree, you can not abandon your colors.
But everyone thought the current roster was OK with Turdell, Tank and Andre “the face scraper” but not Crackman?
Jerry, have you had a meeting with your marketing department lately?
I am not so sure this is what most of America would call their team.
By the way, Jason Whitlock had an interesting article about the winning % of teams with no character issues vs. the teams with arrests.
That might explain some of your playoff drought failures when you actually make the playoffs.

snake_11s, are you seriously blaming Andre Gurode for what Albert Haynesworth did to his face on national TV? Seriously?
I don’t know what you’re talking about regarding arrests and success, the Cowboys haven’t had any players arrested in over 5 years. The Giants have had multiple players arrested in that period of time (Adrian Awasom, Keith Hamilton, David Tyree) so have the Patriots (Ty Law, Willie Andrews), Colts (Kenton Keith, DeDe Dorsey, Dominic Rhodes, Nick Harper), and Steelers (Santurdio Holmes, Barrett Brooks, Cedrick Wilson, James Harrison). I’m not even counting guys that were arrested for stuff before they signed with these teams.
