With the guy who once famously took a dive for Giants defensive end Michael Strahan now retired (sort of), all eyes remain on Strahan and his own intentions for 2008.
After the Super Bowl, it was believed that Strahan would make a decision on his future before the draft. But the draft came and went without anything definitive (or even close thereto) from the 36-year-old Strahan.
On Saturday at the Kentucky Derby, Strahan offered this ominous quote to NBC: “There are days I wake up and I want to play football, and there are days where I wake up and I don’t want to play. Right now there are probably more days where I don’t want to play than I do.”
The next chance to gain further insight into Strahan’s thinking comes Tuesday morning on FOX News, when he’ll appear on “FOX & Friends” with our buddy Rich “Big Daddy” Salgado, who is . Big Daddy tells us that they’ll talk about ”Michael and his future,” along with Strahan’s celebrity golf event on June 29, 2008, which will feature an “A” list of participants and will be capped, according to the tournament’s web site, with a private concert featuring Alicia Keys.
The spot is scheduled to begin at 8:50 a.m. on May 6, with ten minutes or so on the air and then 15 minutes after that on the “After the Show Show” at FOXNews.com.

Should Strahan decide to pack it in, Big Blue should pursue Jason Taylor to fill his spot.

They don’t need to pursue Taylor, Justin Tuck will step up and play just a good, if not better, than Strahan!
