Here’s a look at the Redskins’ minicamp, in One-Liner fashion . . . .

Defensive coordinator Greg Blache told reporters, “Going to get my prostate checked or doing this? I think I’d [take] two prostate exams to one press conference.

Blache says he simplified the playbook because, “We are trying to be a hard, physical defense that’s intimidating with our speed and hitting ability, and you can’t do that when you’re thinking about 20,000 different things.”

Special teams coach Danny Smith is looking forward to competition at punter.

Smith also says he thinks skill at directional punting and pooch punting is more important than having a strong leg.

Coach Jim Zorn brought in his former teammate, Hall of Famer Steve Largent, to address the wide receivers.

After CB Shawn Springs intercepted a pass, lateraled the ball to Fred Smoot and watched Smoot knock the ball around like a volleyball, Zorn yelled, “Don’t do that! Don’t mess around like that! You get the ball, you keep it!”

Rookie WR Devin Thomas missed practice to attend his grandmother’s funeral.

The Redskins hope the rookie class bolsters the red zone offense.

T Jon Jansen calls himself “as close to 100 percent as I can be this time of year.”

Says DE Phillip Daniels, “If we can stop teams with our base defenses, we’re not going to blitz.”
