Here’s a look at the Cardinals minicamp, in One-Liner fashion . . . .
Don’t the Cardinals have a few too many guys who want more money, given the team’s performance of late on the field?
Here’s how RB Edgerrin James justifies passing on voluntary workouts for time in Miami: “As far as coming here, being with the guys and actually playing football, you look forward to that because you’ve been away. If I had been here every week, I would have been like ’same old [expletive].‘”
James says that, even though he’s approaching 30, there will be no “slippage” in his play.
Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald is getting physical with rookie CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.
Rodgers-Cromartie realizes that NFL quarterbacks are better than their college counterparts: “The throws are different than in college,” he said of a ball that got to the receiver even though the receiver was seemingly covered. ”That one was right on the mark.”
QB Matt Leinart has improved his first step.
Steve Breaston and rookie Early Doucet will be competing to replace Bryant Johnson as the No. 3 wideout.

That’s because his play can’t feasibly slip any more without getting cut, ala Shaun.

The Edge is approaching only 30? In NFL years, the dude’s gotta be closing in on 89 or so.

Yeah, I do not understand why so many people are asking for more money. A lot of people need to step up to the plate before they do it. How many people outside of Phoenix know who Darnell DOckett is? Not much. I think this is a product of the stupid Jets paying Pace too much money to play LB, where he will most likely under-perform.

Whisenhunt demanded that Leinart work with a specialist to get that backpedal down. He’s been running backward windsprints naked through a corn field.
An unnamed source reports that his coach is possibly ex-military, as he was fully suited up in camo.

The players complaining are pro bowl type players! People need to get of Edge’s back, all the guy does is produce yards! We did not have a 1,000 yard rusher in almost 8 years when we signed Edge. Everyone always talks about our bad the O-line is yet Edge still gets decent yardage. HE is not slowing up by age, he is just dealing with an o-line that suffered bad decesions by past coaches and injuries. The guy prepares better than anyone and you never here about him being out of shape.

The Bidwells have been notoriously cheap which likely explains why the Cards have made the playoffs once since 1983. They have not done a consistently good job of drafting or retaining talent. Now that they finally have started to turn the corner, they are sinking back into their usual pitfalls. They have an awesome new stadium and a few guys who can really play, but they have not done enough to emerge from their past like the Bucs of the mid 90s did. It starts with ownership and I don’t have much faith in the Bidwells unless they pull a Huizenga and have someone else call the shots.

Darnell Dockett? I know who that is. Guy’s the one on tape grabbing Ernest Graham’s in the pile during a Florida/Florida State game and trying to wreck his knee - lucky for Graham the injury didn’t turn out to be too severe.
