Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers, entering the final year of his contract, could be moving from the left side of the defensive line to the right.

The Panthers reportedly are thinking about making such a move, and Peppers worked out during Friday’s minicamp at the position previously patrolled by the retired Mike Rucker.

“He might end up back on the left,” coach John Fox said.  “I can’t even answer that at this point.  But we are taking a look at it because he is a natural left-hand stance guy.  We’ll see how that goes.”

Newcomer Tyler Brayton was stationed at Peppers’ normal spot on the left side.
