A "Major Case Squad" does not deal iwth everyday murders, they deal with cases that will have the public exposure of celebrity involvement or a cop being killed, etc. As a Philadelphia resident, I am fully behind this method of handling these events. We cannot have people shooting at our officers. We have to make a statement saying "You shoot at a cop, you get either killed or arrested and you get life. (I think it should be the death penalty if you are convicted of murdering one of Philly's finest.) If criminals no longer respect the badge, cops become a target, and then, in any city, anarchy would result. It's not as though we can't get around to Harrison when we have the time. Bubba,

The DA’s investigators are all former Philly PD. They are more than capable of handling the shooting.
