Maybe we haven’t been paying close enough attention to Marvin Harrison over the years.
Because this week’s shooting potentially involving Harrison wasn’t his first incident. Or his second.
It’s his third.
Granted, the five-year-old incident involving Harrison is a far cry from a shooting. But it’s further evidence that maybe Marvin isn’t the great guy that we’ve been led to believe he is.
In 2003, Harrison allegedly knocked a Jets’ ball boy to the ground because Jets punter Matt Turk was kicking balls in the direction of Harrison and quarterback Peyton Manning prior to a game.
Jets radio analyst Marty Lyons reported at the time that Harrison also put his hands on the boy’s neck before the two were separated.
The Jets confirmed that there was an incident, and the league said it was aware of it. But that was the end of it.

When it rains, it pours. Look at how quickly this guy may go from being recognized by many as one of the good guys in the NFL, to a jerk. I wonder if the media will have Marvin’s back, or whether they will turn on him quicker than he drops to the ground after catching a ball in traffic.

Maybe this incident is where Peyton got the idea about knocking out the kid with the football in his SNL skit.

Was it actually a ball “boy”? Or was it a ball “man”? I remember a few years back, Nick Lowery was accused of slapping a New England “ball boy”, and Lowery complained about the coverage implying that he was bullying a kid in middle school. The ball boy in this case, Lowery said, was more along the lines of a 25-year-old who was one of the equipment lackies for the Patriots.

Exactly the WR Philly has been looking for! He’d fit in nicely in the city.
Couldn’t the Eagles get him for Lito?
Disclaimer: If you’re an Eagles fan and this post excites you, you’re a moron. But, if you’re an Eagles fan, you’re probably a…ah, nevermind.

I’m sure if Marvin Harrison did shoot someone, he did it with class. That’s just how the Colts roll.

So then its OK because he was 25? The guy doesnt understand that he cant put his hands on other people regardless of how old they are. In this case it seems he had to get his gun. Typical pampered athlete with RogerClemens syndrome. Throw the book at him.

What we’re seeing now is a new strain of turd: the stealth turd. The guy that’s a turd but everyone thinks he isn’t one but all of a sudden someone says “Hey, I didn’t know he was a turd”. Kind of like the curtain being taken away from Oz.

The incident with the ball boy was a misunderstanding. He was regaling the young lad in a tale about how Latrell Sprewell choked PJ Carlesimo.
He was showing the kid that you should always be respectful to your coaches, and threw in as an added bonus, the proper application of the rear naked choke.
It was a great humanitarian act by Marvin and was going to be featured as a part of the finale for a GI Joe cartoon, cause knowing is half the battle.
Go Joe!

Hmmmm. This can’t be true. Problems with NFL players and behavioral issues coincided with the last year of Paul Tagliabue’s rule and not a moment before. Obviousley the players were comforted that the wicked witch was dead and they could run free. And Marvin Harrison isn’t a Bengal, so this story is obviously false
