Former Vikings running back Onterrio Smith, whose career ended due to a marijuana habit that he concealed with the use of a fake penis, is now in trouble with the law.
Smith has been busted in Sacramento for suspicion of DUI, according to media reports.
He was ultimately suspended by the NFL for a minimum of one year, and efforts to gain reinstatement were unsuccessful. He eventually abandoned his efforts to return to the NFL.
Smith was released by the Vikings in April 2006.

This guy should not have been banned from the NFL. He should have been suspended, but what exactly did he do to deserve a lifetime ban?
He was not even arrested was he? The punishment does not seem to fit the crime with Harrison and Merriman back to pro bowl form after failing steroid tests and all the other DUI and domestic violence cases still playing with no suspensions.
Was it that the Wizz was working and “beating” the tests, or was he such a funny national story he is being banned for public relations/ BS.

He’s a joke and was probably booted to dissuade other players from doing the same thing… or traveling with a water bottle with a hidden and pot-smelling compartment.
It is beyond me why anyone would take up for him.
