We’ve been reminded in the wake of the news that Colts receiver Marvin Harrison is under investigation for firing seven shots outside his North Philly bar earlier this week that Harrison previously has been the target of allegations reflecting behavior far different from what his image would suggest.
Three years ago, Harrison was sued for “violently and physically attack[ing]” three boys who were seeking his autograph a day before the Pro Bowl in Hawaii.
Harrison allegedly put one of the boys in a choke hold.
There were never any further reports about the lawsuit, which suggests to us that it was quietly settled for a confidential payment.

It has to be tough working for a general manager who is half your height, twice you age, and can kick you ass. He just finally snapped.

And because of Florio’s anti-Colts agenda and bias…he might be “reminded” about this 20 more times before the night is over.

OK, the Bengals jokes are really old and only show the simpleminded nature of the poster(s). Anyone who reads this site regularly knows that many more teams have had more arrests than the Bengals over the past year. Get over it, this is about Marvin Harrison from the COLTS, who have had quite a few arrests themselves after the Super Bowl themselves.

I disagree whole-heartedly with the sentiment that I am simple-minded because I think Harrison would fit in well with the Bengals. That is a classless organization from the owner on down with limited exceptions (Carson, Marvin). They are the epitome of what is wrong with professional athletes today. From PFT’s series of posts about Harrison, it looks like he would be right at home.

Ok, What about Denver, Oakland, the Steelers (wifebeaters), San Diego, Tennessee, or New England (Randy Moss, Meriweather, who stomped on a guy’s head, Vince Wilfork, not to mention Belichick). And yes, until you understand that “turds” are a league-wide issue, your Bengals jokes are simpleminded, and simply old and tired. This is an NFL issue, not just a Bengals issue. Of the Bengals that have been arrested, only Jonathan Joseph (caught with weed as a passenger in a car), Odell Thurman (DUI), and Deltha O’neal (DUI) are still with the team. How many other teams have 3 or more players who have been arrested since they’ve been in the league? A lot!

You state that the team is classless “with limited exceptions,” what about these names: Willie Anderson, Rudi Johnson, T.J. Houshmandzedah, Reggie Kelly, Chinedum Ndukwe, Leon Hall, Keith Rivers, Dexter Jackson, John Thorton, all of whom do great charity work not only in Cincinnati, but in their hometowns across the country. 4/10 of the players the Bengals drafted this year were team captains, including Rivers. Get your story straight, stop repeating everything Florio tells you. Discipline is a league-wide issue, not a Bengals issue. Cinci has as many “clasSY” players as any other team in the league, but you never hear about them.

Why because we had one bad year with troublesome players?Yet you look at the chargers who support cheaters and bad character guys or the jaguars and buccaneers who both ignore character risks more then the bengals but they have more class ? because we had one bad year ? How many character risks did we take in the past 2 years? one justin shirley who doesn’t seem like a bad guy just a doofus.

I’m just honestly shocked, and at least when Chris Henry was f–king up I saw humor. For a time he was my favorite player because I couldn’t believe anyway was that stupid nor could I predict what would happen next. It was kind of fun…not returning rental cars…providing alcohol to minors, waiving a gun wear your own effin jersey, but this actually saddens me. I always saw Marvin as a nice guy. Someone who was respectful. Even on the field. But dude, pulling guns, choking kids…seriously?
