Now bear in mind that this was all accomplished while starting up to 3 rookie on the Offensive Line throughout the season, missing both starting corners for most of the season to injury, their leading pass rusher in Trevor Pryce, their starting Quaterback in Steve McNair, their best Go-To guy in Todd Heap and back-up Daniel Wilcox, not to mention the other nicks and bum that several other players were playing with (Jarret Johnson was playing most of the season with a cast on his right hand). Finally, Ray Lewis has repeatedly said he started in the NFL as a Raven and he wants to retire a Raven. Beyond his talents just as a player, which are still better than many younger players at his position, he forms the heart and soul of the Ravens defense, he played a major role in making the Ravens Defense a dominant force in the NFL over the last decade.
