Winners to me are teams like the Eagles who will have 2 firsts and an extra 5th next year. The Patriots who will have a 1 2 2 3 3 (Asante Samuel comp pick). Dallas pocketed a 3rd from the Browns in 2008. I like what the Browns did with trading picks 1 2 3 for veterans and Quinn, but they traded 2 valuable picks next year for iffy players this year. They are down a 3rd and 5th next year already.

John Fox in Carolina has to win this year. The pressure forced him to deal next years pick for Jeff Otah. Andy Reid and Belichick are secure in their jobs and can continue to stockpile valueable picks for the future.

The Ravens took Flacco where they thought they needed to be to get him. That is the bottom line. He may have been there at 26, he may not have, but to say they should have sat there and waited when everyone who follows football knew they wanted a QB?

Besides Washington for a 4th round pick, we used our 5th round pick on Jared Gaither in the supplemental draft.

In the year 2023 Mike Smith will be chosen first by the Philadelphia Eagles. Clearly, he will be a lineman. Philly would have had the first 233 picks, but, true to their gold standard, they traded some picks down for picks in the 2045 draft.

NO NO NO. No more draft talk, NO more draft grades, NO more projecting who won and who lost last weekend. And MOST DEFINATELY NO 2009 mock drafts as some websites are already starting to circulate. Lets finally let the teams selections of last weekend report to camp, either prove themselves or get cut, THEN, draft grades from 2008 can be made in the future few years to come.

They could have, but at 18 they knew they had him. If he pans out, the cost of moving up from 26 to 18 is well worth it to get a starting NFL QB.

Some are pretty high on the Ravens, and I like Joe Flacco too ... but I don't know. He definitely was valued lower than where he was selected. I think giving up stuff to get Matt Ryan might have been the way to go. We'll have to compare their careers and find out, and come back in 2012 to let you know we remember! Haha.

And somewhere down the line, talk about what you think of what da Bears did. I'm kind of confused. I already stated I went from being unsatisfied to satisfied ... we'll see if that OT can play and if the new RB adds lightening to our backfield.

And, the burning question: For your 0.7 mile trek, do you bike? Walk? Hopefully it's a walk. If it's a drive, then you misled us ...

I agree, I think Dorsey was an excellent pick for the Chiefs at five. He was the best player on the board at that time and I couldn't see the Chiefs going with Gholston.

Flacco is a great pick for the Ravens, but at 18, I don't know. I think they could have picked Flacco at 26.
