Free-agent defensive end Darrion Scott was arrested on Wednesday, for “probable cause felony assault.”
But the arrest doesn’t re-set the “Days without an Arrest” meter to zero, since Scott currently isn’t employed by an NFL team.
Scott completed his rookie contract with the Vikings after the 2007 season, and he has not signed a new deal. He visited the Patriots in March, and he had not ruled out returning to the Vikings.
Whoever signs him before the currently pending charges are resolved will pick up seven points in Turd Watch II.

Oh, Darrion. You have no one but yourself to blame for the precipitous drop in your free agency stock. Complain about your RFA tender? Check. Get hurt in a contract year? Check. Talk about wanting to return to the Vikings? Check. Get busted for weed? Check. Get busted for assault? Check.
The Browns would have taken Scott at DE in a heartbeat if he had kept his nose clean and his mouth shut.
