How about Arizona. Obviously they don't really have anyone behind the aging Warner.

Culpepper probably should have signed with Green Bay when he had the chance.

There is still a possibility that Ted Thompson would want another vet QB who can step in if need be, but I can't see them throwing him too much of a bone.

If Ted were smart he wouldn't do that at all because now that they drafted Brohm in the 2nd round Aaron Rogers has enough to worry about lurking behind him if he screws the pooch out there on the field. Rogers performed well the few times he has gotten to see some playing time, but injuries are a question with him and how is he going to handle an entire season?

I think Ted sent a message to Rogers by drafting Brohm. Ted essentially told Rogers "if you can't hack it out there for whatever reason, we will not be hesitant to trade you..."

I also think that this could be the Packers planning for the future and their idea of the future doesn't include Aaron Rogers, which is a shame because who knows what kind of player he is and can become. He certainly has had enough time to digest the game by watching one of the all-time greats. In my opinion, if Rogers performs extremely well the Packers will probably try and trade him for a 1st rounder and some next year and go with Brohm afterwards.

There are also a lot of teams that have QB issues that would be interested in Rogers. The Dolphins, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis, Kansas City, Buffalo, Jets...

Rogers could be more valuable to the Packers as trade bait than as a starting QB.

Just throwing that out there.

I'm surprised that Daunte and Leftwich are both unsigned right now. Granted, neither of them are particularly great, but you *always* want an experienced QB as a backup on your roster, just in case.

At the very least, they'd be good for providing another arm during training camp. Hell, Daunte, as bad as he is, is potentially an upgrade over Brad Johnson. This coming from a Cowboys fan.....

Culpepper teach Flacco and Smith what? How to fumble? How to get the WR that made him look good traded so he can then ask for $10 mil? At one point in his career, Culpepper could have been a good, solid QB for a long time in this league. But his over-inflated ego put him in a position that he couldn't handle. Culpepper is still riding on the coat-tails from Randy Moss making him look good. Plus, it didn't help his cause that his knee got blowed up, either.

There are plenty of teams that could do worse than have him as a backup at the very least.

Hell, if he is only at 80-90% of what he once was, he could still start for many teams including the Bears, Vikings, Jets and Ravens.

Or at the very least he could be an insurance policy for many other teams including the Panthers, Raiders, Broncos, Rams, Giants, Cowboys and quite a few more.

Baltimore seems like an ideal fit if they're trying to at least put forth the effort to win now. I don't trust Kyle Boller, and Troy Smith is Charlie Batch all over again.
I agree that the Bears and Vikings also mak sense, but he burned some bridges in Minnesota and as has been stated, "Rex Grossman is the starting QB of the Chicago Bears". I would take an obligatory jab here, but being a 49er fan, I don't think I have much room. Hell, we'll take him in Frisco. The Alex Smith experiment needs to be scrapped ASAP!

I know this may sound crazy, but Culpepper to Baltimore perhaps? They could use a guy who has performed well at some point in his career, as opposed to Boller, to help teach Flacco & Troy Smith.

Bringing Culpepper in for a look was just a smoke screen pre-draft. Or at the worst, insurance if they didn't get a QB or two that they liked.

The team I thought he'd go back to was Minnesota before they drafted a QB this weekend. Hell, I'm surprised the Rams don't give him a shot since Bulger is guaranteed to break down sometime during the season.

Don't the Bears, Jets, and Vikes make the most sense? I know the Bears said they're sticking with Grossman, but how long does the coaching team want to waste a top 5 defense? The Jets brass has said Pennington will duke it out with Clemens for the starting gig, but their FA signings and draft picks scream that they want to win now. Mangini can't forget that Chad couldn't throw a decent pass over 10 years last year, right? Meanwhile, Clemens is awful. Finally, the Vikes, have a very good defense, a good o-line, and a stud running back. All they need a decent QB to get to the playoffs (and maybe to win the NFC Norris Division). Jackson stinks (unless he's playing the Giants) and Booty can't be expected to play on a contender.

Yeah, Oakland is his only option because the Bears are so rock-solid at the QB position they don't even need to think about bringing in any competition whatsoever for their savior, Rex Grossman. Culpepper may be nearly washed-up, but the Bears need to be looking at every Tom, Dick, and Harry that can or, at some point, could throw the ball.
