At a time when many people are wondering whether Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor is truly committed to the sport of football due to his participating in Dancing with the Stars, Taylor tried to show that football still has his heart.
By dancing on Monday night to the Monday Night Football theme. While wearing eye black.
When we first saw MDS’s FanHouse post on the matter, we thought it was a joke.
As it turns out, it was a joke. Just not an intentional one.

I saw that last night and, let me tell you, all I could say was “wow”. And thats not a good “wow”. Good player and all, but thank God he doesn’t play for my team.
Love how Parcells just totally ignored the guy when he showed up at the facility.

I was hoping desparately that one of the judges would be cagey enough to ask him: “So Jason, if you had been traded this weekend did the costume department have different outfits for you?”

My take on Jason Taylor’s Dancing gig is that although
I agree with Parcells on his football related opinions. He
should let this great player (Jason Taylor) bridge himself
into show biz. without any acrimony. He will provide a much
needed pass rush for the next two years. Taylor has so much
value to the Dolphins that he can not be replaced by anything
less than a 2008 2nd round draft pick. No one wants to give
that, so keep his value and the Dolphins will be better off
for it.

i dont know why everyone is giving him such a hard time for doing the show…believe me i am not one or dancing adn if my son ever wnat to do dancing i would be upset (thats besides the point) the point here is that many people forget that there are some NFL hall of famers that took ballet classes to help them with the foot work. just off the top of my head Lynn Swann and Jerry Rice if i am not mistaken. All you haters can dog on him all you want but you just wait and see him play this season, and i bet his game will be 10 times better

If Taylor wants to act, salsa or become a ballet dancer, he can wait until his multi-million dollar per year football contract is over. Until then, the guy should be focused on football.
Oh and JT - you should have thought about your trade request before taking this stupid dance gig. I’m sure he didn’t help your trade value!!!

what is the big deal about an all pro lineman wanting to do something outside football in the off season on his own time? he isn’t missing any mandatory camps and it’s not like the coaches are going to teach this guy anything new so get off his back.if parcells wants to be a baby about this then trade him for reasonable price and move on!

Well all you macho football guys who do not have a clue
how much concentration or athletic ability is required
to dance, can only be jealous. Where else can a guy dance,
show intimacy, hold hands, lay on top of a most exquisite
looking girl. All while the wife looks on and claps.

You clowns who say Taylor needs to focus on football need to get a clue. It’s the offseason. I hate to break it to you but your favorite players don’t spend the offseason eating raw meat, lifting weights, staring at a picture of opposing quarterbacks and growling. They play golf, take vacations, attend to their business interests, organize dog fighting rings, smuggle fake penises and powdered urine through airports, etc.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with what Taylor is doing. Training camp doesn’t even start for over a month, and he’s probably in better shape that anyone on the team. You Dolphin fans should be more worried that you still don’t have a proven QB and Ted Ginn has the football IQ and courage of Richard Simmons.

Taylor’s 33 and just came off a Pro Bowl. Think the guy doesn’t know how to prepare for a season? He’s a grown-ass man who can do what he wants.
