Remember that these are not normal people. They're athletes. They get hit in the head a lot. They get pampered in high school and college. They get paid millions to provide entertainment. I doubt there is a single well-adjusted person in the NFL.

All great QB's do this is not a great argument for this particular situation. The last thing anyone want is a QB who shows that kind of negative emotion. A QB is supposed to be a leader on the field. They are supposed to accept responsibility for their mistakes. I see constantly, when a QB gets visibily upset on the field, a commentator will make a comment about how it's a mistake. Well, why not Peyton Manning, or is he infallible?? Of course Saturday and Manning will laugh it off now, but if they were losing, this did nothing to improve the situation.

As an Eagles fan, I would love to have a QB who cares enough to get in someone's face.

Manning comes off well, as does Glenn.

Peyton Manning won me first place in my fantasy league last year. His numbers weren't what Brady's were, but he's solid as a rock, so consistent.

In response to the video clip, I'm actually a little glad to see it from Peyton - I was beginning to believe he was as happy-go-lucky in real life as he looks on TV. You go, Peyton!

That...was...the...greatest Peyton Manning moment ever. I love to see him getting in their faces. Fouts was great at that too. All of the great QBs do this. It's awesome to get a sample of it.

What did you expect? This is typical Manning...yelling and blaming everyone else. WAHHHHH
And YES, Brady does throw the F bomb around allot and has fits on the sidelines too. This is football not Ping Pong...

That stuff happens all the time in the NFL, it's heat of the moment stuff and football is an emotional game. You see it on the sidelines all the time. Bill Parcells and Phil Simms used to get into screaming matches on the sidelines weekly during their time with the Giants. In training camp, there are reports of little fights and shouting matches every day. They are trying to win a game and laugh about it on Tuesday if they win. It takes a few more days if they lose.

a correction to someone's above statement. Only 28 other team would want Peyton, not the Bears - Rex Grossman IS their quarterback. Lovie Smith said so.

If this video does something to prevent Manning from showing up on a commercial every 5 seconds this fall, I like it. Otherwise, it's novelty.

Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!! That is freakin' comical!!!!! You know, it wouldnt be so
crazy if his center wasnt right. Can they not just run the ball sometimes? Thats what
you get when you let your QB call all of his own plays.

in my opinion manning was right, you dont like to see it handled that way but what way is there to handle it. o line should have been worried about blocking not how many yards the rbs get on the play...just do your job, thats all peyton was saying worry about your job

This backlash against Manning is ridiculous. Anyone that's ever played football knows that sometimes tempers flare in the heat of battle. If you don't think Tom Brady's ever chewed someone out, you're out of your mind. Manning's behavior is no different than anyone else's.

Since I don't get NFLN, I'm glad Florio posted this because I missed it and thought this was hilarious. Peyton was right though -- who is Saturday to decide whether he wants to run block vs. pass block? He's not the OC and he's not the QB, he doesn't call the plays or the audibles, so do your job (yes I know he calls blocking assignments, but you get my point). Then we'll be cool yo.

My respect for him just went up considerably.
You'd think he was fathering children out of wedlock or something as opposed to trying to win a football game.

Man, do you get your news via Pony Express? This clip was in the official NFL Films recap of the 2006 Colts championship season. Manning and Saturday commented on it and it was very funny. This is all heat of the moment stuff, not some sign of a Manning defect.

Can Florio's anti-Colts/Manning agenda get anymore transparent?

ANYONE who has ever played high-level competitive team sports has personally witnessed this and/or much worse on a daily basis.

Heck...it wasn't a full Spring practice unless we were pulling somebody off somebody else for something.

Give me a break.

Apparently Manning doesn't get the whole team concept. If they when it was all him, but if they lose then it was someone else's fault. Maybe the idiot kicker was right, and sober.

Vince Young punches his team mates. Tom Brady fathers children out of wedlock. Whats the big deal? Comical the poster that said Manning had nothing to do with the Colts winning the Super Bowl. Maybe not so much in the actual game, but someone's gotta get you there.

ACTUALLY - better yet - without Dominic Rhodes and a WEAK NFC, none of them would have a super bowl ring.

What's the big deal? It shows Peyton Manning in the heat of battle. He probably needs that attitude, and it's what drives him to greatness as a competitor. As an individual who can go down as the greatest quarterback there ever was, at the very least the most prolific quarterback there ever was, I wouldn't question Peyton Manning.

This isn't a big deal at all, but it is funny.

If you want to find fault with Manning dig up his quotes after the Steelers beat them in the playoffs. Something about not wanting to throw anybody under the bus, and then proceeding to throw his O line under the bus. And then he said something like "I'm trying to be a good team mate here".

Manning plays the good ole boy role because he know's it makes him endorsement money. He's smart. He's also not the carefully cultivated public image that some people believe he is. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

you guys need to get the NFL network and watch "America's Game" as said previously, this is old news. Peyton was telling Saturday to just block the play that he calls, pass or run. The tackle, I believe Tarik, said that Peyton must have had a good workout that day because he was acting very tough in the face of the big offensive lineman. Right after Peyton went on his rant he said that the funny thing was that he was "Mike'd Up" for that game.

JaguarsSunday said.
"Get ready to cry like a baby twice a year Manning. If you cry like that over St. Louis, wait until a real team like the Jaguars are spanking you… "

Bwuauahahahhahahah. Yeah. Cause your kitties have done sooo much spanking of the Colts. Talk when you finally win the division for once.

Matt H. said:
"I’d be more concerned if I had a QB that didn’t have the balls to confront a guy if there was a problem."

At least somebody actually 'gets it'.

People can bad mouth and whine about Peyton all they want but at the end of the day, there's 30 other teams that would kill to have him.

Everyone knows Florio hates Peyton Manning and he has posted several unsubstantiated blurbs in past from conveniently anonymous "inside sources" attempting to defame him - this is just the latest in his agenda but it's reassuring to see most football fans are intelligent enough and not naive enough to understand that this is a common scene in football

Its odd how some perceive things.

Some called him a crybaby, some said he backed down to Tarik.

Too bad they were wrong.

He didn't back down, and he was pissed off due to the TEAMS performance at that point.

Funny thing is they got things in gear and came back to win the game.

Peyton Manning is and has been the best qb in the game of football for a number of years and thats not likely to change anytime soon.

This isn't anything new. When you watch the Colt's America's Game episode on the NFN, Peyton and Jeff Saturday talk about the clip. They also say that it's forgotten about as soon as it's done.

As for the comments that say Brady wouldn't do that, watch the NFL Replay game this w/e with the Deadskins and you can here him yell "Are you f__kin' kidding me?" when one of his lineman gets a false start penalty--when they are leading by 28 points.

I'm not a Colts fan; but I'll say this: I only wish that my team's QB had that kind of fire in him. Peyton's the leader of that team and he wants to win - end of story. Someone needed a verbal butt kicking and Peyton gave it to them.

Watching Manning back down when Tarik Glenn stood up was hilarious.

That said, it's nothing new. This happens constantly.

Get ready to cry like a baby twice a year Manning. If you cry like that over St. Louis, wait until a real team like the Jaguars are spanking you...

If you attend football games, you know that this kind of stuff happens all the time. I've been on the sidelines for many Packer games walking both sides of the field, and the language from the players and the coaches is quite colorful. TV isolates the average fan from most of the reality of the game.

Great clip, and it shows nothing negative about Peyton. Every once in awhile you have to get up and yell at someone to bring you closer together.

It really is nothing new though, I'm sure it happens on every sideline every Sunday.
