Thanks to the magic that is YouTube, we’ve been tipped off by a couple of readers to a clip of Colts quarterback Peyton Manning going berserk on several of his offensive linemen while the Indy offense was on the sidelines in a game against the Rams.
The clip includes at the fifteen-second mark a fairly large loogie flying out of Manning’s mouth and landing on his jersey.
Manning eventually is told, forcefully, by left tackle Tarik Glenn to “go sit down.”

Really not a big deal. I wish more players were that passionate about moving the football. If Julius Peppers was that passionate, he wouldn’t have only had three sacks last season, or whatever crappy amount he had.

Everyone knows Florio hates Peyton Manning and he has posted several unsubstantiated blurbs in past from conveniently anonymous “inside sources” attempting to defame him - this is just the latest in his agenda but it’s reassuring to see most football fans are intelligent enough and not naive enough to understand that this is a common scene in football

“Get ready to cry like a baby twice a year Manning. If you cry like that over St. Louis, wait until a real team like the Jaguars are spanking you… ”
Bwuauahahahhahahah. Yeah. Cause your kitties have done sooo much spanking of the Colts. Talk when you finally win the division for once.
Matt H. said:
“I’d be more concerned if I had a QB that didn’t have the balls to confront a guy if there was a problem.”
At least somebody actually ‘gets it’.
People can bad mouth and whine about Peyton all they want but at the end of the day, there’s 30 other teams that would kill to have him.

you guys need to get the NFL network and watch “America’s Game” as said previously, this is old news. Peyton was telling Saturday to just block the play that he calls, pass or run. The tackle, I believe Tarik, said that Peyton must have had a good workout that day because he was acting very tough in the face of the big offensive lineman. Right after Peyton went on his rant he said that the funny thing was that he was “Mike’d Up” for that game.

This isn’t a big deal at all, but it is funny.
If you want to find fault with Manning dig up his quotes after the Steelers beat them in the playoffs. Something about not wanting to throw anybody under the bus, and then proceeding to throw his O line under the bus. And then he said something like “I’m trying to be a good team mate here”.
Manning plays the good ole boy role because he know’s it makes him endorsement money. He’s smart. He’s also not the carefully cultivated public image that some people believe he is. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Correction: 29 other teams would like to have him. The Redskins don’t want him unless he is a 4.6/40 reciever.

Typical Pooping Turd, always blaming everyone else. They should have never won a sub-par bowl. The RB was the real MVP.

What’s the big deal? It shows Peyton Manning in the heat of battle. He probably needs that attitude, and it’s what drives him to greatness as a competitor. As an individual who can go down as the greatest quarterback there ever was, at the very least the most prolific quarterback there ever was, I wouldn’t question Peyton Manning.

CORRECTION: Without him, none of those guys would have a SB ring. Singular.
ACTUALLY - better yet - without Dominic Rhodes and a WEAK NFC, none of them would have a super bowl ring.

Vince Young punches his team mates. Tom Brady fathers children out of wedlock. Whats the big deal? Comical the poster that said Manning had nothing to do with the Colts winning the Super Bowl. Maybe not so much in the actual game, but someone’s gotta get you there.

Apparently Manning doesn’t get the whole team concept. If they when it was all him, but if they lose then it was someone else’s fault. Maybe the idiot kicker was right, and sober.

Can Florio’s anti-Colts/Manning agenda get anymore transparent?
ANYONE who has ever played high-level competitive team sports has personally witnessed this and/or much worse on a daily basis.
Heck…it wasn’t a full Spring practice unless we were pulling somebody off somebody else for something.
Give me a break.

Man, do you get your news via Pony Express? This clip was in the official NFL Films recap of the 2006 Colts championship season. Manning and Saturday commented on it and it was very funny. This is all heat of the moment stuff, not some sign of a Manning defect.

You’d think he was fathering children out of wedlock or something as opposed to trying to win a football game.

Since I don’t get NFLN, I’m glad Florio posted this because I missed it and thought this was hilarious. Peyton was right though — who is Saturday to decide whether he wants to run block vs. pass block? He’s not the OC and he’s not the QB, he doesn’t call the plays or the audibles, so do your job (yes I know he calls blocking assignments, but you get my point). Then we’ll be cool yo.

This backlash against Manning is ridiculous. Anyone that’s ever played football knows that sometimes tempers flare in the heat of battle. If you don’t think Tom Brady’s ever chewed someone out, you’re out of your mind. Manning’s behavior is no different than anyone else’s.

crazy if his center wasnt right. Can they not just run the ball sometimes? Thats what
you get when you let your QB call all of his own plays.
