Thanks to the magic that is YouTube, we’ve been tipped off by a couple of readers to a clip of Colts quarterback Peyton Manning going berserk on several of his offensive linemen while the Indy offense was on the sidelines in a game against the Rams.
The clip includes at the fifteen-second mark a fairly large loogie flying out of Manning’s mouth and landing on his jersey.
Manning eventually is told, forcefully, by left tackle Tarik Glenn to “go sit down.”

LOL! The way Manning treats his o-line, I am surprised they don’t just take a play off when the opposing team is obviously doing an all out blitz and let them creame Manning.
Manning seems to always want to blame his o-line when the offense sputters.

Wow, what a class act. And that’s why Tom Brady is better than Peyton Manning.

Typical Manning. Everyone perceives him to be this nice guy, he’s really quite a crybaby.

Does that spitting look real? Does it look like it was edited? I saw this on about a year ago, I didnt see any spit flying out then. Surprisng it would show up on a low quality file upload on youtube and not on tv.

Yeah, because Tom Brady NEVER yells at his linemen, right? Stupid. he yells at them all the time. Don’t you remember the NBC mics picking him up calling one of them a bleeping idiot because of a false start…in game 14…and it was the guy’s first of the season. They all do it. Marino was the worst, but when you are in the Hall of Fame, you earn that right. Brady and Manning will be there, so they have earned the right. Manning actually should have told Tarik Glenn to STFU and sit his fat ass down. Without him, none of those guys would have SB rings.

I am no Peyton fan, but here he is simply being a leader. He didn’t belittle anyone. He wasn’t outta control. He basically told Saturday to “shut up and hike the ball”, which is what he’s supposed to be doing. Kudos to Manning.
Tom Brady is better than Manning, but this is not the reason. I’m sure Brady has given his line hell before.

I’m sure that happens on every team. Who cares. He’s still 6′5″ 220lbs…laser rocket arm. His commercials are funny. Now if you want to talk about a whining QB then Rivers is your boy.

This blow-up was highlighted on the Colts’ version of “America’s Game” on NFL Network. Both Saturday & Manning commented on it. And they both just blew it off as heat of the moment stuff.

Saturday’s obviously complaining that they need to run the ball. The grunts like to run block, the prima donnas like to pass, no breaking news there. I do find it curious that Manning was able to hear what Saturday said, about a dozen seats down the bench during a game. Saturday must have been saying it pretty loudly. This must have been from the ‘05 game where the Colts were down by 17 early but came back to win 45-28.

Plus what it looks like is that Saturday was calling plays and undermining Manning at the line of scrimmage? If that’s the case, of course Peyton should be pissed if he’s expecting pass and pass blocking but they’re run blocking instead

As has been said, the big uglies love to run block. The skill players..not so much. At the end of the day, it’s football. Don’t see why this is a big deal.
