In the frenzy that erupted following the conclusion of the 2008 NFL draft, the Minnesota Vikings emerged with 16 undrafted free agents.

Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star Tribune has the list, which includes Maryland linebacker Erin Henderson and West Virginia receiver Darius Reynaud.

Henderson is the brother of Vikings middle linebacker E.J. Henderson.  Reynaud joins the ranks of players who left school with an extra year of eligibility, only to see the draft process leave them behind.

Do these so-called “street free agents” have any chance of doing anything?  Once upon a time, the Vikings found defensive tackle John Randle through this process, back when the draft had twelve rounds.
