As it turns out, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Philadelphia Eagles aren’t the only two teams who drafted players with unresolved criminal charges pending against them.
The Titans got one, too. And his name is Stanford Keglar.
Kelgar, a linebacker from Purdue, was picked by the Titans in round four. Keglar also is awaiting trial on three charges resulting from a May 2007 bar fight: battery, false informing, and disorderly conduct.
“We fully investigated everything associated with the incident,” Fisher said. “We are aware of the status currently and felt like it was just a one-time issue. It was involving a teammate and we expect it to get resolved.”
Or maybe these simply relied upon this assessment of him: “Suspended for one game in 2005 (teammate got hurt when the pair were rough-housing in the locker room), but his character is unquestioned.” (You need to click on the “Analysis” button to see it; thanks to MDS to pointing this link out to me.)
Coincidentally, the Titans drafted three years ago another guy who was involved in a one-time bar fight during his college days.
And his name is Pacman Jones.

Wow, you mean teams other than the Bengals take chances on guys with red flags!? Who woulda thunk it!? I guess that explains those tons of arrests listed under TurdWatch last year which did not involve Bengals players.

Was Pacman not arrested 4 times in college but only charged once? I agree that the Titans have screwed up again buy not getting vince Limus sweet as a target, but Kelgar isnt in the same catagory as Turdman Jones. The steelers took titans picks in round one and round two which threw the titans off. They were looking at RB first, and DT/WR second, depending on who was there. Just one more reason to hate the Steelers
