In addition to the “upper-level” position for which Ravens scouts Lionel Vital and Vincent Newsome will be interviewing in Atlanta, the Falcons also are talking to candidates for the director of college scouting position.
A league source tells us that Colts scout Dave Caldwell is one of the persons on the list.
If Caldwell is currently under contract with the Colts, the Colts would have to grant permission for Caldwell to be interviewd by another team.

I think Caldwell’s eyeballing Dimitroff, too.
Excuse me, wrong Caldwell.

Caldwell is under contract only until May 31st of this year. Technically David can interview without permission, but it is frowned upon by their upper management with in foot operations to make these moves.

Dave;s contract is up May 31st. So I am sure he does not need permission, except for courtesy by the Colts…. However, if Dave goes just for experience, will he have a position waiting for him in Indy?
