The Chargers still need to address the depth of the offensive and defensive line. Last seasons playoff game against the Patriots and earlier last seasons regular seasons game against the Vikings proved that the Chargers need more depth on the defensive line.
The offensive line needs some serious depth, especially on the right side of the line. As it is, the starters on the right side of the line are mediocre at best. That is very apparent when the Chargers try to run the ball to the right side.
Rivers wasn’t that mobile before the injuries, so I can’t imagine him being any more mobile after the surgery. So the Chargers better find a way to protect him better than they did last season.
I hope Rivers can throw the ball farther this upcoming season and that the Chargers find a way to stretch the opposing defense. The question is, do they have a receiver on the roster that can crack the starting line up that has enough speed that can stretch that defense and hold on to the ball.
