Anthony Morelli should have never been picked up. Worst QB EVER!!! I’m insanely biased because I go to PSU and I had the joy of watching him for the past couple years and it was complete torture. He’ll get cut soon though and spend the rest of his life bagging groceries.

NYJets28, I’m a PSU alum and I totally disagree with you. Jay Paterno is a QB killer…if you knew your PSU football you would know this. Morelli came out of HS as the #2 rated QB in the nation, but because of Jay and his “coaching”, Morelli made bone-headed decisions and ultimately never lived up to the hype. He has all of the tools to become a solid QB…if he gets the right coaching.

Ali Highsmith: solid player from a great program, surrounded by playmakers. Was the vocal leader of the National Champions’ defense. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him stay with Arizona…

We’re talking about professional football asshat, not stuff he did in high school. He didn’t live up to the hype at Penn State, then why the hell would he be any good at the next level? He is easily one of the dumbest athletes from this draft class.

Also, I know Jay is a QB killer. Why would Pryor not want to come to PSU then? Because he wants a future in the NFL and he won’t get that coming to Penn State. So yes, I know. There’s also the word “bust” for a reason.

Pryor didn’t go to Penn State because 1) he would go through a coaching change in his sophomore season, 2) because he had the option for a FULL SCHOLARSHIP to Michigan OR Ohio State and 3) because Penn State football is on the decline, whether or not Paterno stays. They’re recruiting classes are horrible BECAUSE Paterno is the players’ grandfather.

I really think Highsmith has NFL starting potential, but I was under the impression the Cardinals were transitioning to a 3-4. He’s a lousy fit in that system. He belongs at WLB in a 4-3 - ideally for a Tampa-2 team.

Didn’t Highsmith run a 4.95 40 at the combine? That’s a horrific time for a 6′1″ 230 pound linebacker. What system does he fit I wonder? Its not the cover 2 which requires speedy linebackers.

Morelli is a bum. Bad coaching or not, he’s not a bright kid to begin with. Give him years of subpar Paterno coaching…..what’s left?
