The 2005 draft was an unmitigated distater after Thurman, Henry, Rucker, and Nicholson had significant legal issues but selecting one 5th rounder who had some disapline problems that they could easily jettison if he cannot reign himself in, does not a "bad character draft" make. The '5 draft had Ghiaciuc in the 4th (starting center), Fanene (possible starting DT in '08) in the 7th, and Tab Perry last years 3rd receiver and signed by Miami this offseason in the 6th. In '04 Draft starting DE Robert Geathers and franchise tagged OG/OT Stacey Andrews were both picked in the 4th.
