I compiled his stats next to Strahan/Osi/Freeney/Peppers/Kerney and even Jarod Allen and none of these other players have outplayed and out produced Jason Taylor over the last 4 years. The man is still an amazing DE on a horrible team and has produced uninjured for more years than any of the others. I'm not sure if a team will give up a first for him but being a Viking fan (pre-Allen trade) and If Harvey was gone before 17 I would have prefferred a trade for Taylor over drafting Merling or any other of the rookie unproven DE's in this draft. Bob Sanders was last year. You can't justify giving up a first rounder for someone who is 33 and relies on speed. Add another year to his age and he gets slower.
