Though LSU defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey supposedly is the higher-rated player on the Rams’ board, the Rams reportedly are now focusing on Virginia defensive end Chris Long.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch claims that the Rams have settled on Long, a sentiment echoed moments ago by Adam Schefter of NFL Network.

This means (duh) that the Rams weren’t able to get the Falcons to come up a spot to get Dorsey.  It was reported earlier today on ESPN that Falcons G.M. Tom Dimitroff claims he never made a call to trade up.  It’s possible, then, that the talk was aimed at getting the Saints to jump up from No. 10 to block the player they covet from landing in the same division.
