We’ve heard from several folks that the Lions are expected to select Florida defensive end Derrick Harvey, if he’s still available at No. 15.
If not, then the pick will be Tennessee linebacker Jerod Mayo.
And given the arrest of safety Kalvin Pearson for aggravated battery of a pregnant woman and domestic assault by strangulation (the penalty for which should be death by mugabe), it’s safe to say that the Lions will be taking a closer look at safeties, after round one.

Pearson was solely special teams. We have two good youngsters at safety in Bullocks and Alexander, plus Dwight Smith backing them up. That’s the one position other than WR that we’re set at, lol. We better cut Pearson as soon as we possibly can.

If Rashard Mendenhall is still on the board, watch out for the Detroit Lions taking him (because at 14 we, the Bears, dumbly would pass on him probably).

Just me who thinks that Mayo’s stock has been inflated mainly on the basis that ‘New England seems to like him’?

jerod mayo will be solid. The Pats wouldn’t draft him if they thought anything less
