So even if defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey is on the board at No. 3 when the Atlanta Falcons use their pick, will they still go with quarterback Matt Ryan?

All indications (at least according to the media) are that the Falcons will pounce on an opportunity to put a new face on the franchise, and at the same time to squelch potential talk in 2009 or beyond of Mike Vick coming back to the team.

The question, however, is whether Ryan is their best move.  And whether new G.M. Thomas Dimitroff is willing to risk passing on Ryan as a football matter when it’s obvious that his boss, Arthur Blank, wants Ryan as a business matter.

Hey, Dimitroff apparently is smart enough to know who signs the checks, and how to get along with him.  Why else would Dimitroff be growing  a cheesy moustache?

Or maybe he simply had some chocolate milk.  Last night.
