Just as Brett Favre can’t resist getting his graying head and silvery stubble all over our televisions during the days and hours leading up to the draft, the NFL’s turds will not be ignored either.

Lions safety Kalvin Pearson was arrested on Saturday morning in Tampa, and he has been charged with two felonies and one misdemeanor.

Pearson faces charges of aggravated battery of a pregnant female, domestic battery by strangulation, and obstructing or opposing a police officer.

Last month, the Lions signed Pearson to a three-year, $3.5 million offer sheet, which the Bucs wisely chose not to match.

And so the meter re-sets (again) to zero, and the Lions get 17 points in Turd Watch II.  Unless they cut him by 7:48 a.m. EDT next Saturday.
