NFL teams are mostly evaluating college players today, but Colts General Manager Bill Polian says that when the draft is over he could be ready to think about adding a veteran free agent, linebacker Rosevelt Colvin.

When healthy, Colvin has been a solid player for the Patriots the last five seasons, but he’s had trouble staying healthy, including missing the last five games of the 2007 regular season and the playoffs.

It’s an interesting name because he’s local,” Polian said of Colvin, an Indianapolis native who attended Purdue. “I don’t know. That’s a secondary issue. Once we get through the draft, then we’ll take a look at that.”

Two other veterans, former Seahawks running back Shaun Alexander and Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor, have been mentioned as potential Colts acquisitions, but Polian said, “We have no interest in either.”
