That's what you get for skipping voluntary workouts Lance! The judge reads the sports page. How smart is it to bring attention to yourself while knowingly violating probation? Mercy, and I thought Tank Johnson was stupid.

Man, what a douche bag this guy is turning out to be. We've got some promising talent waiting to get a shot at that position. We should have given them a shot and focused that money on our o-line. Get him a damn bus pass

Maybe the 49'ers could hypothetically vouch for his community service time.

Butch, the problem with waiting until the fall is that he only has a couple more months to complete it. Which is why the judge wants to see him, in addition to skipping town.

Instead of expecting overworked, tax-payer funded, probation officers to do their jobs, the league should establish a probation office of its own.

After all, with the growing number of criminals that play in the NFL, it makes sense that the NFL make sure the players they depend on for good TV ratings are not spending any more time in jail than is necessary.

I think he's postponing his community service until January. He won't have to worry about the Bears in playoffs conflicting with his schedule.

We don't have all the facts but how hard is it not to leave the state? I'm sure there are plenty of fun things to do in Illinois other than getting drunk, crashing bright orange Lamborghinies, and running away.

I also take exception to him only having completed two hours of community service. Back in college, I knew people who did 75+ hours in a single semester and still managed top grades.

For a person like Briggs who had to work so hard to get where he his today, its perplexing that he can't volunteer a few hours here and there over the course of a year and avoid being arrested the rest of the time.

hey now, the off-season is very busy for nfl players. i'm not surprised he has only been able to squeeze in 2 hours. I'm sure he'll make it up in the fall when he doesn't have much else going on.

Hell I just had someone lie and say I did my community service at this place called Croccett Park in VA and I got off real nice. He should just go to a park and hang out. That's about 15 days with an 8 hour schedule of work/slackin' off. Hey, what do you know, that's a little more than two weeks of actual work... real life work. I do 52 in a year and Briggs can't do two.
