Robo769 is so cute. Expect him to whip out the word "hater" any time now, to try and head off anyone who doesn't share his rosy pro-Patriots point of view.

Yeah, I love the team statement: "glad" Walsh is "finally willing" to come forward. This from the kings of full disclosure themselves, the great volunteers of information, the New England Patriots. Ha ha!

Yep the Pats have been rushing this whole process along, all the time. Oh yeah. Been in a mad rush to talk about this, especially the head coach. If not for those darn foot-draggers, this whole episode would've been closed long ago.

if Bellicheeek taped since 2000, will Goodell have the balls to strip them (not like that, Travis Henry) of their Super Bowl championships, AFC championships, AFC east championships, and give Bellicheat and his staff a lifetime ban from the league? Or heck, just have a majority of the owners vote to kick the Cheatriots out of the NFL.

The Giants beat them, ruined their "perfect" season. Thanks to the Giants win, Tom Brady should be seeing a new blitz package every down. They lost the Super Bowl, they lost a draft pick, and Billy boy is out a ton of cash. I can't stand the Pats, mostly because of their fans, and even I think this is getting old.

Something I don't think alot of people realize is that no player would ever need to know that cheating had occured and defensive signals had been stolen. How many times while watching a game have you noticed the QB motioning to the sideline to hurry up and give him a play?

How many of those times were teams waiting for the defensive signals to come in to see if they could decypher them and put in an offensive play designed to beat that defense? If it works, the players and particularly the coaches, look like geniuses. If it doesn't work, time expires before they get the play off, or the QB has to call a timeout.

Regardless, the players never really have to know. Even if they suspect what's going on, if it's working (or has in the past) what's the incentive to ruin one's career by being a whistle-blower?

there is no tape, he just wanted attention...there is no confidentiality agreement, he just wants to be immune from the lies he will tell. if there was a tape, it would have been seen by now, much like the tape Glazer found.

everyone steals signals through videotape, Mangini broke the unwritten rule among coaches. he will never coach again after he's fired.

Jimmy Johnson (Cowboys)recorded signals and says the current Colts O line coach is the best at stealing signals. Vermeil said that the Pats wouldn't have gained an advantage against the Rams if they had recorded their walk through....case closed.

"Good! Now we can finally hear the truth from Matt Walsh - who we all can trust. I mean its not like he ever lied about his previous job experience or got fired for secretly audiotaping his fellow employess without their knowledge. If he did I’d say you can’t trust him - but clearly this guy is on the up and up and his statements can’t be questioned."

That's like saying if Bellicheeet cheated once, he cheated every game he has ever coached.

Okay.

But it's your logic.

ampats
"Isn’t it ironic in this day & age of TMZ & everything on video all over the internet & NOONE has seen this?? tape."

Jamie Dukes of the NFLN wanted a cell phone video of Vick at a dog fight before he would believe Vick was guilty.

How did that work out for Jamie Dukes?

You should just change you name to amjamiedukesofthepats.

Let it be written.

Let it be done.

I'd emphasize more on the number of games Patriots might have recorded since 2000, instead of focusing just on the presumed pre-Super Bowl practice.

I don't know much about law, but if the tape is the property of the Patriots and Walsh illegally have it, how well would the evidence hold in a court setting? Not that it would definitely go to court.

CaptainFantastik,

Actually many players current and former have come forward and claimed they never cheated. Brady himself said he had never seen a tape nor had anyone feeding him defensive calls. Matt Light and others have spoken about this issue.

You should really do some research before you make these claims. Like Jimmy Johnson admitting he videotaped defensive signals, many of these denials can probably be found with a simple Google search.

What difference is it if Walsh claims he taped the Rams' walkthrough? Unless he has a tape it is a dead issue. Goodell interviewed over 30 current and former employees and others who were in position to potentially know something and all claim it never happened and even offered evidence to the contrary. Unless Walsh has proof, it is his word vs. about 30 other people.

As to radio frequencies, there has been no evidence of the Pats doing anything with radio frequencies at all. It was just the Jets piling on and the Packers who have accused half the league of the same thing.

I do agree I don't know why a lowly assistant golf pro who was uncermoniouslly fired from his dream job and stands to make a lot of money selling his story would want to go through this. Especially in society where people fight to never get their 15 minutes of fame. People like Brittney Spears and Paris Hilton hide from the press in out of the way places like the hottest night clubs in Los Angeles. Where people like Joey Buttafucco, Amy Fisher, and John Wayne Bobbitt hide their shame and shun the public spotlight by selling porn tapes since no one actually watches those.

Sorry, I can see several hundred thousand reasons why Walsh would want this and they will be coming from some media company. There isn't wording that allows Walsh to profit from his story in the indemnity agreement for nothing.

Cheatriots? How dare you refer to my Tapriots in such a manner! Err..Patriots...that is. Got some letters transposed.

Anyhow, I can't wait to get this behind us. This thing has already cost us a high draft pick, a ton of frustration and given a whole planet of hating lunatics a silly reason to question obvious greatness. I'll never understand why Belichick did it. It's not as if he ever needed to. And God knows, the teams he taped knew he was doing it, so they probably changed all the signals anyways. I wonder how many wins that cost us.

I bet Walsh has nothing. Is nothing.

Well haters, the Pats are winning the AFC East this year and that means playoffs. And we all know what they can do in the playoffs.

"Playoffs? Playoffs! Playoffs?"

It will be interesting, but ultimately it won't matter. We now know, thanks to Arlen Spector grilling Roger Goodell, that the Cheatriots have been taping since 2000. They are cheaters of six years (inlcuding all the championship* years). Funny thing is, not one single Patriots offensive player or coach (past or present) has ever denied it either. Silence speaks volumes.

It will be interesting, but ultimately it won’t matter.

It's always interesting when the real truth is threatened to be revealed. There's no such thing as real truth but if there is videotape then it should be interesting.

There are two schools of thought on SpyGate. Those who know the Patriots cheated and Patriots fans.

While all the attention has been placed on the videotaping, I'm just as interested in the Cheatriots' use of unauthorized radio frequencies. It's possible that the improper use of radio frequencies made the signal stealing usable immediately, certainly in the same game. I hope Walsh sheds some light on this subject. Then, I hope Goodell makes it public. HaHa! Fat Chance!

When Walsh claims he was told by the Pats to film the Rams, the Pats plan is to claim he was on his own. He'll be described as the Lone Wolf Renegade who ate alone, had no friends, beat his dog, etc. In short, the Pats will say he's a lot like Belichek.

I doubt the truth will ever be told...whether it's Walsh's "truth" or the Pats "truth."

I still don't understand why an unknown golf pro in Hawaii would put a giant turd in his life by making this up.
