I guess the real news here is, Davis did not sign with somebody else. But when they keep a dependable slot WR with good return skills for relatively little money it's whine, whine, whine. The coaches and front office have noticed the receiving abilities guys like Devin Hester, Mark Bradley and Greg Olson over the past two seasons, and so Rashied has seen less playing time so these guys get opportunities. However, that doesn't mean he's garbage, hell, he's still their best slot receiver. These other guys are lining up at different receiver spots and have higher dollar values and draft picks associated with them. They're gonna get the nod over Davis for reps and playing time so they can be evaluated faster. One also has to remember the Bear's offense uses 3,4 & 5 receiver sets less often than most others in the NFL.
