The good news is that the Chicago Bears have signed a receiver.  The bad news is that he was already on the roster.

The Bears announced on Wednesday that they have agreed to terms with Rashied Davis on the three-year deal.  Davis previously was a restricted free agent, and he only recently signed his one-year RFA tender.

Davis joined the Bears in 2005 after four years in the Arena Football League.  He was a cornerback and a kick returner, and he then converted to receiver in 2006.
