"A move down would be great for the Falcons, and for Dimitroff. He would get more draft picks."

Good grief! How many more picks do they need? They've already got 11 total, including 4 of the top 50 & 6 of the top 100! What, are they going to field an all rookie roster?

Atlanta is right above Oakland, which is great for Atlanta because Al Davis is sold on either McFadden or Gholston. So either team wanting one enough to trade up have to trade up to 3 (thank you Jerry Jones). So there must be some interest with a team that has to have either.

But it is good to see Dimitroff making a splash. I trust him much more than McKay.

But look at he organization Dimitroff cut his teeth in; the Pats always trade down. I would be more shocked if he didn't trade the pick down if at all possible. Some player will drop to 3 that some team wants/lusts/needs and then the Falcons will deal. I also wouldn't be surprised if they turned one of their 3 2nd's in to a 1st for next year.

This doesn't make sense to me. Vince Young, Joe Thomas and company wouldn't be traded by their respective teams for the picks that ATL would recieve in this trade, and it's not like their running low on picks. Draft Dorsey and if you want to trade down do it in the second round.

The Falcons need to make a splash and spendsome money. Forget being frugal and worrying sbout the cap number. If they trade down they risk looking shell shocked. I think they should grab Glenn Dorsey with the 3rd pick in the first round and then offer all three 2nd round picks they own to either the Jets, Patriots or Chiefs and jump back into the 1st round ahead of the Ravens and grab Matt Ryan.

Plenty of teams will trade Saturday. Teams will jump back into round one, teams will drop down a few slots as teams see a guy they want still lingering a few spots ahead of them. This happens almost every year, every round.

With so many teams wanting to trade down, it gives teams a good chance to trade their future #1 pick for a guy they want in the middle to late 1st round.

Everybody's making "deals" this week. Then Saturday will come and only the Cowboys will be making deals.
