In August, and again in December, the NFL will send two teams to Toronto for the purposes of playing a football game.
But Canadians won’t have to wait that long to watch (previously) high-end football players do their thing on non-U.S. soil.
Receiver David Boston, a first-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 1999 and the recipient of a big-money free-agent contract with the Chargers several years later, has signed with the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts.
Most recently, Boston was cut by the Bucs after a DUI arrest. The 29-year-old wideout has also played for the Dolphins.
Canada is a refuge of sorts for NFL players who, for whatever reason, can no longer get it done in the NFL. But Boston seems to be even more of a risk than usual; he hasn’t played football of any kind since 2005.

What did he tear, rip or break upon landing in Toronto… his ACL, MCL or one of his steroid-filled biceps?
Freddie Mercury, Richard Simmons and Charles Nelson Reilly are manlier and tougher than David Boston.

Does the CFL have a steroid policy? Boston had better hope not.

So preseason NFL football is no longer considered “football of any kind”??
Boston spent the last two training camps and preseasons with the Bucs and actually caught a few passes including a TD against some players…er scrubs.
