Manny Arora, the lawyer for suspended Titans cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones, said today that Jones is “satisfied” that an arrest has been made in the 2007 Las Vegas shooting that left a strip club employee paralyzed.
But the Murfreesboro, Tennessee Daily News Journal reports that Arora will not comment on any specifics, including whether Jones knows the suspect, Arvin Kenti Edwards, or whether the arrest of Edwards was a result of information Jones provided.
“All we can say is Adam has cooperated with the authorities since the beginning and if our cooperation has helped in apprehending the proper party then we are very satisfied,’’ Arora said. “Hopefully now the attention will be focused on the victims who suffered in this case as well as the people that perpetrated the crime and Adam can get back to having some privacy and move past this.’’
Las Vegas police said Jones was an instigator in the fight that preceded the shooting. Jones pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct in the case.

Pac-Man Jones. While I’m not a fan of his, I can’t help but notice the double standard in regards to the public’s view of him compared to that of Ray Lewis. Both guys rolled with thugged out possies. Both were present for horrific acts of violence. We’re not talkin’ a little bit of fisticuffs. We’re talkin’ about bodies hittin’ the floor. Both knew who was responsible. Both tried to protect those responsible. However, one hammed it up for the camera, talked about his knew found love for “The Lord”. The other had the audacity to go to another strip club (100% legal), and have involvement with the WWF (100% legal). Now the latter is public enemy #1, while the other is a “Under Armor” salesmen as well as the cover boy for “Madden 2005″, the games 1st ever defensive player. I don’t understand the inconsistency. I don’t understand how one guy is Satan incarnate, while the other is the spiritual leader of the NFL. Some things we will never know…

Actually, cops have already said that Pacman wasn’t there when the guy got shot.

“We believe he knows some of his entourage who were involved in the shooting,” Toledo said. “On himself, we do not have any charges on him. He wasn’t there when the shooting occurred.”

RJ Carrano, Pac-Man was involved with a wildlife charity? When was this?

WWF, WWE, who cares. “Wrasslen”, whatever. He didn’t hurt anyone. It was no big deal. Mountains and mole hills…

Carrano,
It’s also unfair to compare where Pacman is NOW vs. where Ray Lewis is NOW - it’s been years since the trouble with Lewis. Media coverage has changed somewhat since then, and the perception is that it seems like more guys are getting into trouble. Thus, the public is more susceptible to treating Pacman more harshly. Lewis also hadn’t been involved in 9 other off-field incidents in the two years preceding his big thing.

I might be wrong…
but I have to assume that Pacman knew the shooter or else his lawyer would be quick to inform everybody that his client does not know this man at all.

Why can’t they tell us what intigating means? DOes it mean causing the chaos by making it rain indirectly insighted the violence hence he instigated it or was he standing next to the guy going, “Shoot that MoFo.” I do believe those might give us a better pic of how he was involved. Unlike Ray Lewis who HAD BLOOD ON HIS CLOTHES, indirectly insighting violence is a whole hell of a lot different than directly doing it.
Either way he is a POS. He should have a fundraiser for the guy. (Maybe selling Bobble head Pacman’s Prepared to throw Bills)

Right on, RJ. Ray Lewis literally got away with (at least accessory to) murder. How he got off with a simple obstruction of justice charge will forever be a mystery to me.
As far as Pacman is concerned, if it’s ever discovered that the shooter just happens to be an acquaintance of Adam’s, he just might end up knee deep in doo-doo.

Good, hopefully this helps Pacman get reinstated. “God” dell shouldn’t be allowed to hand out suspensions just based on arrests - and those suspensions should have a set limit based on the offense, not this arbitrary crap they have now.
What a whiny bitch Urbanski is. Has anyone here ever met the bouncer at a strip club? It’s not like this guy was going to cure cancer or something. Just the fact that he chose bouncer as a career meant he probably had it coming.

RJ Carrano - Well said. Only point I would make, Pac Man’s habitual run ins with the law (and reputation at Va Tech for being a thug) makes his antics a bit more high profile compared to Lewis’ singular incident. However, your point on the hypocrisy is well taken.
Barksdale - completely assinine comments on your part. Your comments would certainly lead me to believe that you are no Mensa candidate yourself. Do you know that the bouncer was not moonlighting while working his way through med school? Maybe a social worker by day? Just because they guy worked as a bouncer certainly does not substantiate the notion of “he had it coming”. Your comment is painfully moronic.
